Customer portal

In the Saninet customer portal you can archive or delete customers. To delete a customer, you first need to archive the customer by clicking on the ‘archive’ button on the right of the customer in the portal. The customer is now marked as ‘inactive’. His/her data and design are still available.
To permanently delete a customer, mark the checkbox ‘display inactive customers’ in the customer portal. Now you will only see inactive / archived customers. You can either reactivate the customer by clicking on the ‘restore customer’ symbol on the right, or you can permanently delete the customer by clicking on the X. This permanently deletes all customer data, including connected designs.
We strongly advise you to not delete customers, but to just archive them, so that you can always access their data.
Designing a bathroom

In Saninet you can align objects, such as spotlights, both horizontally and vertically. To do this, first add the desired objects / spotlights. Next, select the objects you want to align by pressing and holding the Shift-button and clicking on the objects. A pop-up will show. On the bottom right of this pop-up, next to ‘favorites’, there’s two symbols, one for aligning horizontally and one for aligning vertically. Click on the desired symbol to horizontally or vertically align the selected objects.
If you want to move the objects as a group, without altering their relative position, you can group the objects. To do this, select all objects to be grouped by pressing and holding the Shift button. Next, click on the symbol on the bottom left of the pop-up.

In Saninet you can add a windowsill to a window, by placing the window at a chosen depth in the wall. When placing a window, you add the dimensions (height and width) of the window. Next, you add the placement depth: the depth in millimeters you want to position the window from the wall, thus the depth of the windowsill. Finally, add the height of the window above the floor.

The first step in designing a bathroom is to draw the shape. After you’ve done that, you can add a slanted wall if needed.
To add a slanted wall, simply right click on the wall that needs to be slanted and click on ‘slanted roof’. Next, enter the height of the parapet (from the floor) and the length of the skew (from the basis of the wall).

When the bathroom you design does not have a standard shape, use the ‘free shape’ option. This allows you to determine the positions, corners and lengths of all walls yourself. You can draw a free shape with your mouse, but it is easier with your keyboard.
To start drawing, click once with the left mouse button in the drawing space. Drag the mouse a little in the direction you want the wall to go. Next, use your numeric keypad to enter the length of the wall. Press Enter to move to the next wall. Press an arrow button to determine the direction of the next wall and again enter the length using the numeric keypad. Press Enter again and repeat for the next wall. To close the last wall, use your mouse button.
To draw 45 or 135 degree corners, press two arrow buttons at the same time in the right direction.

Dimension drawing

From the main menu at the top right, click the third icon, ‘tools’. Two options appear: Show tiles and Show joints. When you click one of these, tiles or joints appear in your design. It is not possible to show both tiles and joints at the same time. To hide them, click Tools again and then click Hide tiles or Hide joints.

In the Dimensions step you can add templates. This allows you to save texts and symbols that you regularly use in the same composition and add them as a group to dimension drawings.
To create a template, first add all desired items to the dimension drawing. Next, select the items by dragging a box around them with your mouse. A pop-up appears with a ‘save template’ button. Click this and give your template a name. The template then appears under ‘templates’ in the Sizing step. Drag the template onto your dimension drawing to add it.

You can add dimension lines by clicking the first symbol, the lines with arrows, in the ‘dimensions’ step under Tools.
Once you click this, snap points are shown, provided you have enabled ‘show all snap points’ in your settings. Otherwise only the snap points you hover over are shown.
You can draw a dimension line between any two snap points by clicking a point and dragging to a second point. When you release the mouse, the dimension line appears.
You can place horizontal and vertical dimension lines by clicking where you want them.
When you have finished adding dimension lines, click the icon again. You can now modify placed lines by clicking on them, drag them, adjust the length or add auxiliary lines. To adjust the length manually, tick the checkbox for ‘length’ first.

In the dimension drawing you can add texts both inside and outside the drawing.
Click the symbol with the A under Tools. Draw a text box where you want the text and type the text.
If you want to change the layout, click the text you just typed. You can adjust font size and rotation and change the colour.
If you want to use the text more often, you can save it as a template by clicking ‘save template’ and giving it a name. The formatted text is added under ‘templates’. You can drag a template into your design to add it to any dimension drawing.

If a bathroom design is too large, it may not fit on one page when you export as PDF. If that happens, you can adjust the scale. By default, it is set to 1:20.
In the ‘dimensions’ step, the scale is shown in the menu on the left. When you adjust it, you see the white square in your design become larger or smaller. This square indicates what fits on one PDF page.
For example, change the scale to 1:40 to zoom out so the drawing fits on one page.

In the ‘dimensions’ step, click ‘new view’. Click the wall for which you want to create a new view.
If you want, change the name of the view. Next, click on ‘new view’ in the top left menu. A blinking square appears. Place this square over the drawing that you want to show in the new view.
General

When you create a pdf export in Saninet, for instance a dimension drawing, you can add your logo and a disclaimer at the bottom of the pdf. You can add both in MySaninet.
On the MySaninet homepage, you see a block called ‘Company Logo’. Here you can upload your logo in .jpg or .png format. Below the logo, you will find the block ‘Disclaimer’. Click on the ‘edit’ sign to add or edit the disclaimer, and then click on ‘save’. Your logo and disclaimer will now show on any pdf export you create in Saninet.Watch the video below in which we show how to add a logo and a disclaimer.

In the Saninet start screen you can see which Saninet version you’re currently using. You can also find your current version number by clicking on ‘settings’ when you’ve opened a design.
Scroll down in the ‘General’ tab to view the current Version number (second last item). When you shut down your computer, Saninet is automatically updated. So if you don’t have the latest version (you can check under ‘Notifications’ which is the latest version), please restart your computer.
You can also manually update Saninet. -
You can import locally saved bathroom designs, for instance from Saninet Easy, in Saninet. There are two ways to do this.
1. From the customer portal. Select an existing customer or create a new customer. Next, click on ‘import’ (below the customer name). In your File Explorer, search for the design to import and click on ‘open’. The design is added to the customer and you can now open it from the customer portal.
2. When you don’t want to assign the design to a customer immediately, start from the design step in Saninet. In the customer portal, click on ‘skip’. Click on the left icon in the upper right menu (‘File menu’) and choose ‘import’. Search for the design in your File Explorer and click on ‘open’.
Keyboard shortcuts

In 2D view, select an object by clicking on it. Next, press the arrow buttons to move the object 10mm.
If you want to move the object 1mm at the time, press and hold the Ctrl button while pressing the arrow buttons.
If you want to move the object 100mm at the time, press and hold the Shift button while pressing the arrow buttons.

If you want to select multiple objects in 2D view, press and hold the Shift button while clicking on the objects you want to select. A pop-up with multiple options appears: Group, 3D Preview, Delete, Align vertically, Align horizontally and Save as favorite.

In the 2D view, press and hold the space bar and the left mouse button. Now you can drag the design across your screen.

In the 2D view, press and hold Shift and the left mouse button. Now move the mouse up or down to zoom in or out.

In 3D view, press and hold the spacebar and your left mouse button. Now move the mouse up or down to tilt the camera.

Press and hold the Ctrl button and click on all tiles you want to add to the pattern. Next, choose a tile pattern that supports multiple tiles, such as Checker-board, Variation, Half-bond, Random or Diamond. From the pop-up, drag the pattern to the desired wall in your design.

To select multiple walls at the same time, press and hold Ctrl while clicking on the desired walls. To select all walls, press and hold Shift and click on any wall.

When you have placed a tile strip and you select it in your design, you can use the arrow buttons to reposition the tiles within the tile strip.

To change the dimensions of a tile strip, move your mouse pointer to the side of the strip. When the line turns green, click on it and drag the side of the strip in the desired direction.
If you want to adjust the size per millimeter, press and hold the Ctrl button and drag the line in the desired direction. -
To show the dimensions of slanted lines, first draw a line from one corner of an object to the opposite corner. Next, press and hold Shift. Your mouse pointer will ‘jump’ to the slanted line. Now you can drag the slanted dimension line to the desired position.
Modules

The Saninte Note module allows you to export part lists of all products and parts in your design, including article numbers. You can export either in .pdf or .csv format.
Next, you can import the part list in your ERP-system, to easily create an order for your supplier. In Saninet, you will find the option to create part lists under the menu-item ‘export’.

First, save a photo of your favourite tile in .jpg or .png format. Go to the ‘tiling’ step in the design process and click on the far right icon in the menu on the left hand side. Click right on ‘My tiles’ and click on ‘Add folder’. Name your folder. Click right on the folder you just created and click on ‘Add tile’. Select the image of the tile you saved on your computer. Name your tile and add its dimensions, desired joint size and joint colour, and click on ‘save’.
Now you can add the tile you just created to your design in the same way you add regular tiles. Just click on the tile and drag it to the desired wall(s).
